Week five: Developing a Global Vision

Smashbox is not like other makeup companies. They thrive a great deal because they distribute and have their products available to all different parts of the world. Smashbox is sold throughout North America as well as some 60 countries worldwide. People from all over the world love and benefit from Smashbox cosmetics. Smashbox is an expert in online consumer outreach and digital and social media, which many cosmetic companies strive to for! The products are sold online on a number of websites which allows everyone and anyone to easily purchase. TradeKey.com is one of the leading B2B marketplace that helps smashbox buyers to instantly connect with quality manufactures and suppliers from all over the world, including Smashbox from China, USA, Turkey, as well as other countries.
Smashbox is so successful with global marketing that the well known makeup company Estee Lauder wanted a piece of it! They announced on May 17, 2010 that they are to acquire Smashbox Beauty Cosmetics.
“Adding Smashbox to our portfolio of brands will help strengthen our presence in prestige specialty channels worldwide, increase our product offerings in this important category and enhance our capabilities in digital media and direct television,” said Fabrizo Freda, President and CEO of Estee Lauder.
“We expect to benefit greatly from the Estee Lauder Companies’ extensive knowledge in product development, operational execution, and international marketing and distribution, and we look forward to the next period of growth for the brand,” said Smashbox co-founder and CEO Dean Factor.
Smashbox global artistry team is fabulous and pretty much the best of the best! They also help publicize the company by traveling the world to work on A-list Celebrities, designer runways and top fashion and beauty shoots. Although Smashbox has expanded all over the world the company continues to try to find new ways to grow and prosper! :)
